The entire day began and started at The Mountain View Manor in Glen Spey, NY. The bride and groom prep was quick and while the wedding party was still getting ready, the couple met outside under the tree for their first look! It was so sweet! After the couple had their little private moment, we went exploring the grounds for unique and rustic places to shoot their bride and groom portraits! Soon the rest of the wedding party came out for the rest of the fun wedding party portraits! It was a hot August day, so there were many ice water breaks! We all headed back inside as guests arrived. When everyone had arrived, the venue guided all of the guests to the side of the building where the outdoor ceremony would be taking place!
The wedding party walked down the side aisle, and when it was time, a golf cart dropped off the bride and her father! I loved this outdoor ceremony, because it was so easy to walk 360 degrees around the entire ceremony! So there were so many great vantage points to capture! My favorite was shooting from directly behind the couple, with the guests in the background! It’s not often that angle is available especially during a classic church wedding, so I was excited! After the ceremony, everyone crowded around the couple with tears and hugs!
Cocktail hour took place inside the main building while the reception room down the hill was being prepared for the reception! The live band She Said Sunday was setting up! I absolutely love it when there is a live band as opposed to a DJ; it just feels like you’re at a concert! The couple was introduced and had their first dance! They quickly at their parent dances at the same time! The couple sat down with their wedding party and laughed during the very long and heart felt speeches! Everyone danced all night long! Congratulations to this sweet couple!
