West Village Engagement Photos

Thank you for checking out this beautiful West Village Engagement photos session!  This took place mid-August at 5pm.  We started at The Golden Swan located a W 11th Street and Greenwich St, as a landmark. Across the way was a building covered in grape vines!  After we found a few cute brownstone stoops with beautiful golden backlighting.  Then we traveled one block south on Greenwich St where we found an amazing purple door, then farther up, got a shot with the World Trade building in the background.  We turned the corner onto Perry Street and this little block also did not disappoint with cute little nooks of NYC!  At the corner, our next destination was Dante West Village restaurant on the corner of Perry and Hudson.  The beautiful mint green facade made for an interesting background!  We continued two more blocks up Perry Street.  To my surprise it was full of people, yet it was completely quiet!  We realized that this is the location of Carrie Brandshaw’s apartment on Sex and the City at 66 Perry Street!  Our next targeted location was just at the corner of Perry & W 4th Street at Sant Ambroeus resturant.  It had a pop of orange which I appreciated along with its old Italian romantic charm.  We headed north up W 4th Street to the Corner Bistro. I am a sucker for neon lights!  Their sign provided a fun and vintage aesthetic. We headed west on Jane street, just across the way to the Jane Stree Garden, a hidden gem!  There were people in the park but I was able to buff them out.  Although to me these don’t look like they were taken in NYC, this location provided the variety we needed!  It reminded me of The Secret Garden!  Walking farther up Jane Street is where we ended the session with more beautiful brownstones for the quintessential West Village Engagement photos you would expect!  These are all of the West Village photo spots that we went to, so I hope this information helps future couples who are looking to shoot their engagement photo session in the West Village!
